With just the right amounts of rain and warmth and sunshine the outer landscape is bursting with greenery and blossoms. It seems everything is coming back to life, including us! We are shaking off our winter dust and spending more and more time outside-- a welcome shift from our winter rhythms.
We celebrated May Day (also called Beltane, the halfway point between the Spring Solstice and the Summer Equinox) with a little craft that held the traditional Maypole in mind. We selected spring inspired yarn and wrapped the branches, following directions in The Children's Year.
It is so good to be outside again! Though this season is so very full it is my favorite. Extra laundry and later bedtimes and all!
Tell me, how are you welcoming spring?
