Going Wild

The sheep are faring well in the summer humidity, mostly grazing in the early morning and evening.  There are plenty of shady places in the pasture for them to rest during the heat of the day, and I make a point to make sure they always have fresh water to drink.  Daniel has been trimming the fruit trees and giving them the branches, and golly do they go wild over the fresh leaves.

When I walk out to the pasture I can hear the distinct pop of the electric fence being grounded by knee-high weeds, and I cringe and make a mental note to push "trim weeds" further up on our to-do list.  Activities like weeding are seldom rewarding, when you see all the hard work you do disappears over night.  So we push up our sleeves, wipe our brow, and get to work.
